A brief story about us

Villa Jannis is a nice 3-stars-hotel on the north coast of Crete. It is family-run and regales with an atmosphere of security. The guests stay in studios (2 – 3 beds) or in apartments with two separate sleeping rooms (3 – 4 beds).

The rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, most of them have air condition. Breakfast and dinner are served in buffet style. During the day, guest can order food and drinks in the tavern belonging to the hotel.

Our place

Entering the hotel resort, the guest is welcomed by a beautiful garden with big old palms. The pool, due to a special filtering system, gets by almost without chemistry and offers a panoramic view of the sea and the White Mountains. For the little guests, there is a playground and a children pool.

Location

Kavros

Villa Jannis is located in Kavros on the north coast of Crete, between Rethymno and Chania. The long and sandy beach which starts from Georgioupolis and extends over a length of a few kilometers, is about 800 meters away from the hotel and can be reached on foot. However, if the guest do not want to walk, they can take advantage of a shuttle bus to the beach. The picturesque Kournas Lake – the only sweet water of Crete – is located about 4 km from the hotel and is also within walking distance.

Kavros beach

Kavros beach has lovely sand and clear waters. Kavros beach is very well organized and provides all the necessary amenities. If you want to be isolated, you will definitely find a much more peaceful place because the beach is very long.

Rooms

The hotel consists of three buildings: The big hotel building containing reception, lobby, dining room, kitchen, tavern and bar. The rooms in the upper floors accommodate the hotel guests in studios and apartments. The lower floor of the second building – the “Villa” – offers apartments located in the garden near the entrance.
Villa Jannis provides free wireless internet access, hairdryers, child high chairs, sun beds and sunshades at the pool are also free. Heating, air conditioning, safe and baby beds are charged with a fee.

Very Friendly - Family Run - Mainly German speaking Hotel/Villa. This Hotel and Villa complex was a great friendly and family run place. I enjoyed my time there and even though not everything is brilliant often the staff make up for it. Breakfast and Dinner are usually included when you book at this hotel and the dinner's are all homemade and all of one in our 17 night stay tasted amazing. Sunday is Grilled meat day and the rest of the days you get a 3 course meal of soup, main course and fruit for desert.

This hotel was just accross the street from our house, so we used to come for sunbathing and beers. Very friendly staff, the top of Greek hospitality. The view from the pool area is amazing and the teritory of the hotel itself is looked after very well. Big thanks from Eva and Galatios.

We stayed here for 1 week end of October. It was a total pleasure. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel grounds and the pool are just beautiful and well taken care of. The dinner was yummy everyday, breakfast is simple but decent and enough. The owners are wonderful, friendly people, and everyone at that place will make you feel welcome.

Ein super schönes kleines Hotel auf einem Hügel gelegen. Draußen auf der Terrasse speisen und die Aussicht auf kavros und das meer genießen. Es ist alles sehr einfach gehalten aber sauber. Betten waren bequem. Super nette Leute alles sehr familiär. Abends super stimmung an der bar man fühlte sich gut aufgehoben und integriert.
